The Danube Delta Pike Fishing Championship is a competition organized by ANTREC Tulcea to promote rural, ecological and cultural tourism.
The purpose of the Danube Delta Pike Fishing Championship is to invite you to become promoters and supporters of sustainable, non-invasive tourism, designed and carried out directly with the Danube Delta locals, considered to be an integrated part of the deltaic ecosystem. Thus, by participating at the Danube Delta Pike Fishing Championship, you rediscover your educated fishing instinct, protecting nature and respecting the locals.
The competition is carried out in a “caught, kissed, released” system (catch & release), in the natural environment and not in fish enclosures, in direct collaboration with the locals from Mila 23, Crișan commune. They transform for a few days from professional fishermen into sport fishing monitors, being your hosts to receive you as guests and not as tourists.
